Happy 2026 + New Release!

Happy New Year to my fellow books baes and romance readers!

I pray that all your dreams come true, that you enjoy good health, stability and find yourself in a position to level up for 2026 in whatever way that looks like for you!

We all deserve these things at least after enduring 2025! Am I right?

My release for 2025 never happened. I realized early on that I would only get about one book out last year, which was to be for late summer into Halloween, but then even that was a struggle because-

a. I changed the plot multiple times and could not settle on one flow around the core scenes I built for this story a couple years back, and

b. due to their new policy changes which eliminated Caribbean stores from the marketplace, I lost my ETSY business which was the fuel behind being able to start my author business.

After selling on the platform since 2012, I went through a bit of a grieving period for the last five months. While I'd intended to become an author fulltime, it wasn't the time I had planned for such a move.

Overall, in 2025, life lifed hard and threw me a few curveballs and losses I hadn't accounted for which affected my writing. Not my ability to write but my ability to believe in my work whole-heartedly which is always important to get the job done.

I'm happy to say that while I have no release date yet beyond January, I'm almost done editing this final version and wanted to share an important note about it.

This book merges all my book worlds and characters from Thugs N Roses, Love on the Way and A Baller's Love will feature. My new novel is Deuce Daymond and Ayani's Simms' story which basically continues on from A Baller's Love epilogue where it is mentioned the footballer and campus dope dealer, Chaz, got shot leaving Ayani pregnant and alone.

So what happened next with her?

We also heard mention of Deuce a few times through Viva Wentworth and Bryson's POV as well, but he never had any actual scenes in the four part series. That was because I changed who Deuce was to be with a few times and with all the plot changes, left him out to feature only in Bonus Content. Deuce is part of the Daymond clan which are the stars of Thugs N Roses - a series I have not abandoned but have paused working on releasing for this year (for now).

It's not a requirement but I just think you'll be able to follow along with the backstory of Deuce and Ayani better by reading what came before first.
